new to pool, help sought with english

Hi, I came to US about an year back. I used to play snooker a lot back home, but due to not enough interest in snooker here, I took up with pool and should say, I am liking it a lot :).
I am still learning the game (about 6-7 months of play maybe an hour or two a week), and now I have a pretty decent game, I can break and run 8 & 9 balls about 2-3 times out of 10 racks (not as good as most of you guys, but I feel great about it ;)...), and can often pot around 4-5 balls in an inning.
I feel that at this point in time I need to start learning some new things like english (my stroke is pretty good as I've been told) and consistent, rarely I miss (normal) shots (well, long pots with cue ball on cushions does give me trouble every now and then). I can draw and follow through without huge concerns.
I was wondering if there is some help or training material available somewhere to learn the trajectories of cue ball with various points of english application in the game. Being from snooker background, I have been used to working with playing with zero to little angles on shots, but in pool you need good angles on shots. Every now and then I do end up straight on shots or with very minute angles and only way of making next shot is to use english. Any help is appreciated. Any suggestions for long shots are welcome. :)

On a simultaneous note, recently (about 2 months back when I started playing 9 ball), I've been encountering situations when I need to jump (kick isnt an option at times due to various reasons). I've seen tutorials on internet on how to jump, but my problem is my short arms (haha), I cant create the required distance b/w the bridge and the cue ball to generate enough power for the jump cue to transmit enough power to the cue ball to launch it off. I saw a few videos on internet (esp. from 3 cushion genius Semih) about Masse shots and how often their bridge is in the air and no part of there body (related to the cue motion) touches the table. I tried jumping like that and have had good success with this technique (my bridge is in air and doesnt touch the table, cue passes thru it). I was wondering if this is legal in pool, as in not to touch the felt or the table top while cueing. I dont drag the cue tip into the felt and am fairly accurate with respect to height, aim and speed of the jump. Please advice on this as well. Thanks guys.

First, it isn't power that you need. You need to hit the cue ball in the right place. Find and instructor. Get some help. I have VERY SMALL hands and jump just fine.
