New Valley Table-help

I bought a Valley 7' table with their standard cloth. I want the table to play the same way as our league tables play, but it is much slower. Our league tables supposedly have "tournament edition" cloth, which to me is slower than simonas but it is still easy to get around the table.

Is the new table so slow because it is new cloth and is it going to speed up? I've played on newly refinished league tables and it wasn't anything like this. I'm thinking of having the table recovered by the league operators. Any thoughts

The "tournament edition" cloth is possibly Tour Edition 3030 - speedwise on par with Simonis now or later.

The factory installed cloth on a Valley is Championship Ultra with Teflon 4045 - aka Valley Ultra Teflon -
a napped cloth nowhere near the speed of 3030 or Simonis.

To duplicate your league tables changing to the same cloth is a start.
Suggest you ask your operator exactly which cloth they use and see if they can hook you up.

Probably one of the BEST replys I've ever read on AZ. Rep to you sir!

Keep in mind if you end up at Nationals you will be playing on a table just like what you have now (Championship Ultra with Teflon 4045 - aka Valley Ultra Teflon ), not what your league plays on. The regionals in my area are also played on the Valley Ultra Teflon. - Edit - Assuming its APA league that is.

local league

Our league system is local-only, run by the coin-op dealers in the state. For now I just want my table to play like the bar tables do in town, which is what our leagues play on. Thanks for the help guys, based upon your comments I've got it scheduled to be recovered by the league operator in town, so it should play like their tables.
