New video on BREAK SHOT strategy for 8-ball, 9-ball, and 10-ball

Thanks for the video. Good information as usual.
I seem to remember from another video you did that the ideal 10 break was hitting it from the middle of the table and that you only move to the side of it isn’t working. Or did I imagine that?
I thought a perfect middle hit from the middle made both balls. I would assume in a symmetric situation like this , hitting slightly off from centre to centre must make one side react different to the other, in perfect conditions?

Dave, on the 2nd ball 8 ball break, how do you keep the cue ball from getting buried behind where the balls are racked? Thanks

I use a center-ball hit with fast speed and a fairly square hit on the 2nd ball to send the CB straight across the table. If any balls remain in the rack area, I get a secondary break; otherwise, the CB comes to rest close to the foot spot off two rails. For more info, and lots of examples, see the videos here:

I think I have always presented it slightly off center. That gives you the best chance to pocket at least one of the 2nd-row balls, and sends the 1 toward the upper corner. For more info, see:
