New vs old valley tables?

So where I live almost all the bars have old valley tables. The ones with the raised pockets and metal around them. I just found a place that has 2 new tables with flat pockets and metal. How many old vs new valley tables are in your guyses area?

I have the new 8' about a year now. Unfortunately, there was a raised staple in one of the side pockets where it is stapled to the plastic gulley and it ruined a brand new set of $350 Aramith Tournament balls. I tried getting some kind of compensation from them but they wouldn't own up to the sloppy assembly. So, there's that.
