new wrap suggestions (pics)

I would say

A.) brown leather, but brown leather is tricky...there's all different shades, and some turn out better than others (I like brown pigskin rather than cowhide)

B.) white with brown speck linen should give this bue a completely different look. Should look classy.

C.) black lizard print leather will look significanlty different from the smooth black you have on now. I chose this for my cue instead of real lizard because it wears better, looks better (imo), and is a hellavalot cheaper...

If you're fortunate enough to live close to an accomodating cuemaker, maybe you can bring the cue in and handwrap some precut leather pieces around the cue to see what looks nice and what doesn't.

A brown wrap would look outa place IMHO. I think black boar hide or black lizard is the way to go. If you had no rings you would be looking at a brown wrap.

good point...The brown leathers I've seen that look right are all w/o rings (or with brown rings), brown into brown so to speak.

Brown stacked leather wrap would look awesome on that cue.
 
I think that any mind of brown leather/lizard would be overdoing the brown just a little bit.

I think black leather or black lizard would be great but like Roger (Buddha 162) said, lizard does wear a helluva lot quicker than leather but you can get leather pressed into a lizard pattern. I've seen Roger's cue and it looks great.

I also like the suggestion of white with brown speck linen but I'd stick with the leather myself. but hey, that's just me. Good luck.

I think I would be more concerned with why that wrap is failing, the cue looks to be well maintained and not that old. Maybe the maker will replace it FOC.

Sorry I havent replied Ive been ripping my car apart. Thanks alot guys for all your suggestions. Drexler is the closest cue maker and my buddy has sold some cues for him in the past, so I will probably look him up and go with the black lizard. I think I will e-mail the cue maker also I just didnt want to be without it for too long, hes in Canada and Im in Connecticut the whole seperation anxiety thing. Could overnight it.

Anything besides 2 tone stacked leather on that cue would a mistake....

God, 2 tone stacked would look Phenominal on that cue...
