Stopped by the DB custom shop to see my good friend and putter away on some of my cue projects he indulges me trying when I saw this beauty in progress from his apprentice. 4 point Ebony into curly maple with Osage Orange segmented handle, joint and butt cap. Keep an eye on this Justin kid people he is definitely gonna be a player in this profession.

Points are straight and tight, rings are very nicely done, and everything looks very clean. Looks like a very nice cue from an apprentice.
Thanks for sharing, Jake

No problem J but you were just at exotic they had tons. You were probably too busy eying up the great piece of pink ivory you snagged to look lol

Wow.

In the handle is that the figure or the grain running perpendicular to the cue? Forgive my wood ignorance.

Amazing looking. Damn nice veneers too.

Yes it is, The handle core is 1.000" thick so strength is not an issue.

I figured it must have a substantial core. I don't think I ever saw one with such striking grain running perpendicular like that.

Those rings really help tie it all together nicely where it might otherwise clash.

Apprentice? The kid's an artist.
