New Years Billiard Resolutions?

I have been putting off purchasing a good playing cue. Made in the USA is the way to go. Keep telling myself I don't deserve it cause I can't justify the cost with the way I play....

I have only been playing for 1 year and 8 months. I started with a cheap Minnesota Fats cue then I got a Players Sneaky Pete.

As I got better it seemed that I had hit a wall in fact I started to decline a little bit. When I talked to my mentor about it he told me, As your game improves so should the equipment you use.

Do not think your level of play is a reason to not get good cue. I got my first Predator and it took a while to get use to it. But when I did that wall I hit came crashing down.

If you are serious about being a solid pool player then you should invest in a good cue..

Happy New Year and best of luck!!!!

to be more patient in playing.
to focus more on technique and gameplay rather than equipment.

Happy New Year everybody!!!
Cheers! :happydance:

Buy a cue that actually works and a case to protect it from weather because I always forget to bring it in.

to somehow figure out how to make my arms, stance, stroke, & aiming do what my brain already knows how to do perfectly....when i got that figured, i'm turning pro! :rotflmao1:

At my age, I hope to keep shooting and keep breathing.

I hear ya! 1942 here. Going to make the most of it while I can. I sure hope they make a fire retardant Simonis. I'll need it where I'm going - so my ex says.

A few....

To stop dogging the run-out! This is priority numero UMO for me.

To make more time for dedicated practice.

To try and get in more local tournaments.

And to improve my game and consistency enough to move up to the next skill level in my league(s). (Yes, some league players actually do want to "go up".)

I resolve to play more than the normal Zero Hours of pool.

I resolve to order and receive that cue from Mrs. West.

I resolve to being wrong only one more time this week.

To run 50 in 14.1, then 60, then 70!

Beat the nine ghost in a race to seven. Was tied at five-five the other day but had to leave! :frown:

Both these on 9 footers.

Learn how to make a damn kick shot...

I am going to stop spending so much time on AZ Billiards... uh... well... darn it! That didn't last long.
I am going to do iPAT this year.

Remember that a run out includes making the 8 ball & not missing so many easy shots.
I gotta focus more on my game.

Practice, track results, video record practice sessions and learn to plan a run out
