He stated he never really coached me because I basically jumped in the pool for the first time and magically began to swim. Wasn't afraid at all and went the entire length of the pool (down and back) having never swam in my life. The nickname just stuck with me. I'm no Michael Phelps but I can hold my own weight in the pool.

Oh, and I live in Lima. About 100 miles from you if you stay in Licking County. Do you all have some nice Pool Halls around there?

I grew up in Dayton, the same generation as Steve Cook. He was a good friend of mine, the most soft spoken champion I ever knew. Steve was a top player at ALL games, not just One Pocket.

Hey Jay/Ray :p and how are you? The question is, are you ready to Play (kidding)? You're right cause when you say the name "Cookie" and "Lima" many know of him. True champion that could clean up a pool haul. Funny part is they say he always presented himself as being suttle and one you would never think could play pool. Those are the type of guys I leave alone because they'll clean your clock when you least expect it. I always go after the loud, rowdy and boastrous (did I spell that right) ones - LoL!
