Welcome aboard. Prepare yourself for a new addiction. I suggest a mini-fridge next to your computer, and a really sturdy mouse. You'll be clicking "refresh" (or if you're me, "HOME") all the time and you'll wear out any old, run of the mill mouse.

Welcome to our home away from home Flip!! Glad to have ya!! Prepare to hear a little trash talking, a lot of honesty, and a few fairy tales!!

Welcome aboard Flip. Glad to have new members. I'm relatively new here myself. This is my 100th post, I joined in January. A lot of interesting stuff flies around in here. People from all over the country sharing their different view points and stories. It's also a place that shows great respect for one of it's long time members that recently passed away.

Join the party. Have fun.

Can anyone tell me how to add the line under a post?

Go to "User CP" and then click "Edit Signature"

(How funny, I had to edit my post to include the word "edit")

Thanks all for your welcomes. Question - If I go through all of the readings throughout the entire site, is it guaranteed to improve my BCA league play average by one whole point - :grin-square::wink::)?

It is nice to dream...isn't it?

Welcome to the forum Flip! I hope you find it as beneficial to your game as I have. It took a little time for me to find my way around but you will get the hang of it in no time. Soon you will be as addicted as everyone else.

Welcome Flip. Why are you called flip???

Hi Trent and how are you? Hah, funny you should ask me that because I get that question posed to me a lot. My swimming coach gave me that name when I was a little brat. He stated he never really coached me because I basically jumped in the pool for the first time and magically began to swim. Wasn't afraid at all and went the entire length of the pool (down and back) having never swam in my life. The nickname just stuck with me. I'm no Michael Phelps but I can hold my own weight in the pool.

Oh, and I live in Lima. About 100 miles from you if you stay in Licking County. Do you all have some nice Pool Halls around there?

That's Kool . Oh, there are a couple of guys from my pool haul that goes over to Columbus to do battle quite often; however, I haven't been then yet myself. I was playing a guy Tuesday night who went there this past weekend, and he told me to bring some money because you guys over there are fanatics and have the system down packed (i.e. one guy to monitor, another guy to make the deal and another guy to play ).

Yeah, we have a few halls/bars in town, but the main one is "East Road Billiards". Two weeks ago we had the first Steve "Cookie" Cook Invitational in honor of his memory. Sharks came from Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and Illinois because Steve Cook was a local Lima, Ohio guy who was well known throughout the country for one-pocket. Shannon "The Cannon" Murphy from Cincy won the whole thing. If you ever get the opportunity come on over and we'll have a good time, but sounds like you need a backer if you come to Columbus.
