hello to all. im new here. im pretty new to the game ive really got into it about a year ago and ive been playin pretty much every night for the last 6 or so months. i have an opportunity to pick up a jensen plain from my friend for only 180. a few of the ppl i shoot with are trying to talk me out of it. this will be my first que. i have had the opportunity to shoot with many diffrent que's, but mostly i play with house que's. i really love how the jensen feels and the hit of it and i can afford it. should i go ahead and get it or start out with something a little less?

Welcome to the forum. Great to have you. I suspect you meant to post on the main forum, where this kind of post would be more fitting. You've actually posted on a forum devoted specifically to the US Open nine ball event. As that event is long gone, you may not get many replies here.

Nonetheless, I think you'll find the forum offers a nice cross-section of those to whom pool is, or at least, was important. Each poster here brings a slightly different point of view, and that's what makes the forum tick.

What we all have in common here is that pool has enriched our lives, and we enjoy each other's company because we all had so many positive expereinces in and around pool. If it's the same for you, then you'll feel very comfortable around here.

Welcome aboard.

$180 for a Jensen is definitely worth it, especially if the hit is right for you.
If you were to have him build you a cue, his starting price is $600 ;)

Welcome to Az,
