Due to the popularity of the "Survivor" shows the newest will be titled, "Survivor, Southern Style."

The contestants will start in Alabama, travel to Florida, up to Georgia, S. Carolina, N. Carolina, over to Tennessee, then down to Mississippi, Louisiana and back across to Alabama.

Each contestant will be driving a pink Volvo with New Jersey plates and large bumper stickers that read,

I'm Gay, I'm a Vegetarian, NASCAR Sucks, Go Yankees!, Smoking is for idiots, Hillary in 2004, Deer hunting is murder, I'm here to confiscate your guns and John Schmidt and Reed Pierce get the 5 and the break.

The first contestant that makes it back to Montgomery alive is the winner.

Doesn't have to be the south for that to be dangerous.

Anyone that comes around Vegas with that horse crap on their car better not let me see them. :D

No prize money?

If I could borrow your ‘cuda to tow the Volvo with, I might consider it.

Rick

4.10 gears HF, won't do but about 130. They would catch ya, LOL.

How do you get your contestants, put a gun to their heads? What's wrong with Hillary? So what she can't tell a joke! Remember, "It takes a village"? Besides, if she had gotten her way, all us old farts would have free health care by now. Of course we probably wouldn't have any cash!

Rickw, nothing is free, you know that.

I don't like socialized medicine, you probably wouldn't either because your right, we would have less money.

This is WAAAAY off-topic, but what's not to like about socialized medicine? Ever been to a country with socialized medicine? If you have, then compare that to somebody with no insurance trying to get medical care here. Between my wife and me, I spend $7500/year for insurance. I go to the doctor maybe twice a year, once for a physical, and once if I get sick. My wife probably goes 5 times a year. That's roughly $1500/visit. The insurance company gets most of that money. At least with socialized medicine, somebody could get to use that money for their care, as opposed to some huge insurance company just getting bigger. If you haven't been to a country and taken advantage of their socialized medicine, do some traveling and then tell me your opinion.

Think about this guys. IT WAS A JOKE. I have found when politics are injected into a friendly site like this, the BEST one can expect to do is only lose 33% of his/her friends.

CHILL OUT.

So you don't want to see a company get larger in a capitalist society? Isn't that kind of the point of a capitalist society for economic growth?

I guess you like paying higher taxes and just letting the government handle all of your affairs for you? Just a guess, you are a democrat.

By the way, Canada has socialized medicine and they are way behind us in regards to the latest equipment and medical training. Why do you think so many Canadians come to the USA for complicated surgery? Because their socialized medicine sucks, that's why.

The only salient, relative point of the JOKE is the part about giving Schmidt and Pierce the 5 and the break in the south. Give it a rest guys.

Our socialized medicine sucks?? Tell that to all the poor folk in the US that either can't afford the premiums or play "medicare roulette", hopin' they don't get sick...
Countries that are socially responsible to all their people shouldn't privatize essential services. Or is health care not essential...
You're right, we're way off topic

Sorry. I was just trying to be funny too. Didn't mean to stir up a discussion on socialized medicine. I was cracking up when I read Hemi's first post!

i've got a few candidates for your show hemi...the same guys who turned your post into something more than a joke would be perfect for the show...and by the way i'd like to put my name out there for host of your new show..
