I am looking for a good 9' table that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I would like to spend $1200 - $1400 total (including shipping and/or new cloth/rails).

What brands, sites should I look for. I have looked on ebay, but most are too far away to drive.

I live in Anderson, SC.

We have a 9' Gandy Sportsman for around 1,200. But that doesn't include shipping.....it does include cloth and rails.

We are in Pensacola FL, which isn't really that far of a drive if you wanna come look and then load it up on the back of a truck.

They do sell the ZBilliards tables on ebay for about the price range your talking about......BUT you get what ya pay for with those things. Missing parts.....pieces that don't fit......and in 5 years your lucky if it's worth 50 bucks! Just depends on what you want out of a table.

Could you post some pics?

I was hoping to get a used Gold Crown around that price range (maybe a bit more). I have found a few bargains on ebay, but it has always been a long way off.

Five, buy a used quality commercial type table.
Don't fall for those cheap home tables.
Spend a little more and buy a table you can keep your whole life.

This is what I had in mind, where would I go (besides ebay) to look for used tables?

Local papers and then you have to do some legwork and some table work.
Or you can buy one from PTM. Table already inspected and prepped up.

Here is a picture of what the Gandy Sportsman is..........this one is my dads at his house. It is all Black Laminate, the one we have for sale is Gray Marble Laminate....I will post a picture of the Rails for that table next post. I don't have a pic of it together.

I was referring to Z billiards table. :p
Those are as stable as plywood.

I tried to send you a PM, but no-go. Do you mind sending me one with your phone #, I am interested, but have a few questions first.

Thanks,
Ty

Email me and I'll give ya the # and you can call my Dad about that table. He has that one at his shop.

As for the PM's here...I turned them off long ago. Alot easier to just send an email than have to go look up the PM page, keep up and delete them when the box gets full, and delete the ones you send too. Way to much involved in the PM thing here!

Just to keep everyone up-to-date I have made my purchase. I was able to get a Brunswick Gold Crown III for $600 (right place, right time). I broke it down and moved it myself (good learning experience). It will be in storage for several months, before the house is completed.

I plan on moving it to the new location myself, but will probably hire someone to come in and put new cloth on it and make sure everthing is aligned perfectly and that it's level.

I am so excited.

PTM- That gray marble Gandy looks pretty stunning!

Five- If I were you, I'd drive there to take a look at it, but take a truck and some money...might just leave with it. Your Dominiak cue is getting finished this week, should be ready next week. I'll keep you posted!
