Does it matter how much he paid for it? I think the only thing that matters is what the buyer thinks it is worth and what the seller is willing to let it go for.
 
Yeah, you are right. It does not matter what the cue originally sold for. I was just curious, because I would like to be able to resell it (without losing money) if I am not happy with it.
