nice deep pockets.. who loves em?

I personally love short pockets. I find that with deep pockets, my balls just kinda hang on the edge and never reach the bottom of the pocket. The shallower the pocket, the quicker my balls hit the bottom.

My instructor once mentioned that if I would move up from a 57.5" stick to a 60" stick to better match my frame, I might hit the bottom of the pocket a little more often.

I can only imagine what those extra 2.5 inches would mean to me.

Playing on a table with a narrow shelf would cause the ball to fall in easier. Some slates are beveled AND have narrow shelves. When the ball comes close to the hole it falls in. With a deep shelf and level slate the ball has to be shot into the pocket in order for it to come in. Jawing it won't get the job done. It will sit on the wide shelf and it'll be the opponets shot. Diamonds can be maddening. You get 'Diamondized".

a guy with a longer shaft will appreciate the deeper pockets... but the guy with a shorter shaft won't see much difference...;)
