Nice Loaded Classic JMW Cue For Sale

ok...i'm struggling to think of a reason why no-one has made any offers at all for the cue?

anybody wanna shed some light on this..is it price, my low post count or a general lull in cues sales?

Anyone have any idea?

I'll guess price!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think alot of cue buyers are worried about shipping this cue back into the usa and getting it siezed in customs which they are doing now. The customs problem has effected me for sure, I love the cue but its a big chance.

I can see where your coming from about customs but a good friend of mine is a major dealer in cues and he is from U.K and has never had a problem.

With regards to price IMO it's fair price for the cue considering how much i bought it for from new, i understand it is second hand now but no dings and in good condition...i would of thought i would of atleast had a few low-ballers offering silly prices but nothing at all...i'm open to offers the worst i can say is no.

The customs issue is a recent one that they just started to inforce very hard.I think it took efect jan 1 and there are some threads here on az about customs taking cues now

Well, the day it ever happens to me will be the end of my cue dealings. I don't have a problem buying or selling because of my reputation, I stand behind my deals. I still sell cues, with and without ivory.

The recent scare has certainly put the backs up many cue makers and cue dealers. I would like to think that I can still buy or sell ANY cue out there, ivory or not. Whilst I don't see the situation with imported ivory improving in the near future, I will not let it shape the type of cues in my collection. If it does......then thats the end of the diamond. I will be outta here.

That also goes for anyone refusing to ship to me just because a cue I want contains ivory. I have been at this game too long. Nobody should have to flounce international laws but if I want something that is readily available to a particular continent, I should also be able to have it.....regardless of the Ocean between us.

I understand your thoughts on this Si.

I just sold a TS cue loaded with ivory to a super nice buyer in Germany. We made our deal which included me sending the cue to Tim Scruggs shop in Baltimore, Md. to have a lizard wrap put on the cue and a couple of other mods and then after the work was finished the cue was shipped on to the buyer in Germany. We didn't have any problems at all.

I've heard that the safest way to ship a cue internationally is Global Express through the Post Office. I'm no expert, but I try to keep up on the latest rules and what i've heard is that Fedex is not the way to go since they are scrutinized by customs more than the post office. If i'm wrong I hope someone will correct me, but this is the last information i've heard about cues and international shipping.

Read this whole thread...Fish and Wildlife took this Tascarella trying to be shipped into the usa and fines where issued but I think they got the tas back after pete had to write a letter to them about pre banned ivory but there was fees involved in that also. Ebay removes any listing now with ivory in it.

Bump for a great guy selling a nice cue. I've sent (and recieved) a lot of cues internationally and never had a problem . Knock on wood.

Always usps global express, uninsured and marked as a gift.
