He makes several very nice outs that match. Just watched it a few hours ago. I like the 2 rail kick around midpoint match where Dennis nutted Corey, he makes the 2 rail kick, spears the OB and runs out. I believe it was the 7 ball.
 
The shot at 8:15 in the video caught me by surprise. I guess he had too much angle to draw uptable, so he went with some crazy reverse off the second rail spin that I never would have thought of. Very impressive.

Oh yea, that was a great kick. Probably the key shot in the match

I thought the same thing. Great, creative shot that was executed perfectly. It even caught both commentators by surprise.

Andrew, I agree. I definitely saw the shot differently. I guess that it is hard to tell just how much angle they have from the cameras POV. I acutally practice that shot a lot but have never actually used it in a match. It is not nearly as easy as Corey made it look. Good observation, rep for you!

That's why I love watching Deuel. He often shoots creative shots like this.

I've tried practicing that shot and don't have any confidence in my consistency to try it in a match. I'd only try it if it were the only option.

Buddy Hall demonstrates a situation where it's required/useful in his "9-ball position play" video.

I saw that shot while watching the video in the afternoon. I went to league that night and, lo and behold, that same shot came up in the second game I played.

I slightly over hit it but was still able to get out. After the match, everyone on both teams wanted to know how to hit it.

All I can say is "Thanks, Corey!" Just another weapon for the arsenal.

Yeah, that's the shot, although I'd disagree in minor ways with the angles you have diagrammed here. There was less cut angle on the 4, and the CB didn't turn as drastically off the second rail, but the concept is there.

Yeah it was a great match, watched it a few days ago, that reverse english cut shot to spin off the opposite rails was spectacular. John Ditoro was at a loss for words LOL.
