I have great luck with everybody who has responded to my requests. I’ll give Runde a A+, as well as Pete Sr., Dennis and a dark horse Robert Harris who got screwed in the Sly debacle IMHO. Bob Owen referred by Bava, was also a joy. Harris built a cue Larry N purchased from my business partner and me for his lady. I don’t Larry would have ok’d anything less than his expectations.

I’ve been interested in Todd Caroenter and seen a couple come up for sale. Was he actually protege to Hercek or is that a myth?

I don’t know his full history but I do know he worked with Showman, Ron Haley and countless others. And I can tell you he makes phenomenal cues(my current player and have had one other in the past). Throwback kinda guy.

I have known him for almost 50 years, also.

He told me that I had called him from more places in the world than anyone.

Everyone at the Scruggs Shop in all of its eras. Tim was a people person and very nice guy. Bob Frey who started with Tim there before leaving to start his own shop is perhaps the nicest and most humble guy I think I ever met. Mike Cochran who became the man in the back after Bob left was a great guy as well, I spent a lot of time in that shop over the years just hanging out with them, all great people.
