Are you sure that was his real account and not a scammer using the name and some fake pictures? That seems to be going around lately, a lot of people are posting warnings of scammers in the Facebook cue groups.
The thing is that people think they were "hacked" where all they are doing is taking a name that looks familiar to others, using some pictures they copied from other places, creating a new account and hoping no-one notices details in the account.

that is why you only use a credit card. fools send money using other ways to complete strangers.
if you did you could just cancel the sale and be no worse off.
if you spoke with him 3 times you obviously googled his phone number and it confirmed it was his business number and address where you sent money to.
if it was him call him and he will make it right. dont post sh==t about someone before you exhaust your options.

I hate hearing all this BS scamming shenanigans.
If I knew a bit more about cue fit and finish/grading, I would offer escrow services for all members of AZB.
I work from home and could easily carve out an hour a day to offer this but I think an expert on cue inspection would be a better choice.
There has to be a way to pay an intermediary to complete sales by holding the money and the cue until everything is OK.
