This weekend there was a tournament in Finland, Blackpool 9-ball Open, which was a handicap event for 128 players, with 5000 Euro first place. (About 7500 dollars)

Niels Feijen won 7 - 0 in the final against Mika Immonen. www.nielsfeijen.nl

In this tournament there was also a one-rack tournament, and 90 players participated in this. When only 4 players are left, there is a buyback-option for 4 players who bid the most. Then QF, SF and final. The winner of this one-rack event got 2500 euro!!!! And more shocking, it was the same player who have won this one-rack event a couple of times the few last years :D:o

I guess maybe Marvel or some other guys from Finland can contribute with results and pricemoney from the tournament... (Would be nice with payouts so the AZB Money Rank can be updated)

from what I understand Mika scratched on all of his breaks and gave a ball in hand in all the other racks...(alternate breaks race to 7). Doesn't really need more than that....

cheers,
Kimmo

Pricemoney was 5000EUR for the winner and runner up 1700EUR....Calcutta paid something like 4180EUR to the winner (Feijen bought at 520EUR)....first night ShootOut (best of one I think) paid 2500EUR and the second night 'only' 980EUR I think...
ScotchDoubles competition won by Ohtonen/Sellberg winning just short of 2500EUR.

So all in all not bad at all....multiply the numbers by roughly 1.5 to get the US$.
