It's time to get ready for the next event at VIP. A lot of players have complimented this room for various reasons, especially the friendliness and quality of service provided by the owners, Steve and Jessica Didier.

Please review the attached flyer for details. You are also welcome to distribute the flyer to anyone who may be interested.

Entry Fee: $50 (includes $10 Green Fees)

All No-Shows will be refunded

Doors open at 11:00 AM

Play starts at 12:00 PM

Limited to the first 32 players

Payouts for 25% of the field

Rules: Modified Texas Express (nine ball does not count on the break)

Jump cues are allowed
Winner breaks
Rack Your Own
Races: 7 / 5 (based on size of field)
True double elimination

So far I only have three paid entries. (Kevin West, Guy Yates, Doug Mason).

I will no longer be extending the field past 32 players.

The room has acquired lasers (yes, lasers!) for their Rock 'n' Pool Saturday night parties, so we can't have players locking horns for the finals during that time. And No, the lasers won't help your aiming system...:) The goal would be to start wrapping up at 10:00 PM.

The DEADLINE for PayPal entries is this Saturday!

Call me with questions.

Please do not ask me to save a spot for you, this cannot be done.

Results!

As mentioned, we had a full field of strong players yesterday, including the likes of Brett Stottlemyer, Mike Davis, Kevin West, Andy Lincoln, Tom Zippler and Ryan Jones.

Play started promptly at 12:00 PM and was over at 10:15 PM.

Congratulations to Brett Stottlemyer for going through the field undefeated, which included a double-dipping of touring pro Mike Davis!

This was a rematch of the finals at the VA State 10-Ball Championships, and Brett won the first set in an exciting hill-hill battle.

Here are the results:

Shawn Jackson vs Sean Jackson

On the chart I have Shawn Jackson listed, which is incorrect.

Sean Jackson was there, sorry for any confusion.
