No jump cue for Efren Reyes

you got to admit, it's rather difficult to precisely hit an OB using the rails than precisely hitting an OB using a jump cue.

This doesn't have to be admitted at all. They are different shots with different criteria. Each has it's own specific things to be calculated.

There is however one more aspect to the jump shot that people overlook. It's the physical requirement. Whether you are using a jump cue or a full length cue you must be able to to lift your shoulder adequately if you attempting a jump with an underhanded (normal) stroke position. No similar requirement exists for kick shots as anyone who can make the cueball hit the end rail can perform kick shots. Some people are physically challenged when it comes to jump shots however, even with the jump cue.

I can't begin to tell you the amount of people I have come across with this issue. People who have been delighted to be able to add jumping to their game.

Anyone can learn to hit the object ball by kicking. Learn the systems and practice. Anyone can learn to jump, get a cue engineered for that task and start practicing the techniques.

Junk??

Sheesh... there are situations where ONLY a jump cue will get you out of jail.

I was speaking in reference to Efren, who clearly doesn't need to carry a jump cue. Note the smiley face.

I see. on the otherhand, I had also some experiences of my own. except that these fellas know how to jump but they suck at kicking. love to 3-foul these guys, which pissed them off and said "C'mon, stop being a WUSS" :D

If they don't learn how to kick, and kick well, that is to their detriment and to your benefit. Jumping is not a panacea.

Kind of like the fellow who said real men don't put cream in their coffee. Give me a break.

Real men don't put cream in their coffee. It's already in there when their wife brings it to them.*

Har, har, har!

And for those who aren't married or attached, are they to suffer acid reflux and incessant heartburn, not to mention other very undesirable side effects??

If you are perhaps wondering what those vexatious signs are, just think of what happens when mixing vinegar and baking soda :D

Glad your wife is so considerate! One of the most charming things mothers can do is make a home feel lived in. And those little touches like remembering if you like sugar in your coffee and how much you like, along with cream, or half and half, can make life much more bearable... :)

I've seen Efren jump.. white men maybe can't, but Filipino's can.

Maybe you guys know this already, but I thought it was an interesting fact that Efren Reyes has never used a jump cue. It was mentioned by the commentators at the 2006 U.S. Open 9-ball championship and they had Accu-Stats verify it. I assume it would still be true.

It was a match posted by Billiard Club,

Efren jumping^
