Tough guys who shoot straight and have a lot of attitude and a chip on their shoulder would work well. Shannon Daulton, Frankie Hernandez and Scott Frost would all be nice selections.

I think TV is more interested in "looks", personality and an "image" which appeals to the age group their advertisers are targeting...

Which means young, good looking, two kids, nice three bedroom suburban home, SUV in driveway, soccer mom, etc.

Ronnie Wiseman, Ronnie Allen, Bobby Pickle, and some other road dogs would be good.

Sorry, I jumped the gun and selected 5 players. If I had to pick just two and only two, I'd pick Alex and Delicious because they're young and have personalities that will probably show up on the camera more, although Kieth would be awfully entertaining too. Tough to pick just two!!

Uh, I said other because from the looks of the poll you guys forgot that women can play pool too! I say lets hear it for the girls!!!

Yeah! I like women too! Besides, wouldn't that be a great idea to have a woman on? What they could do is have a mens' show and then a womens' show and then the winners of each could play each other for the final. They should pay me for these ideas!

Yup, four women with a whole lot of attitude might work well, too.

Or how about a co-ed show? You know, like in real life. I just don't shoot the girls...I can take on you boys too, LOL.

Years ago fats played Lori Shampoe on tv and she was 14 or 15!!!! she won any- one remember? I'm sooo old!!!

Guess who I voted for? (LOL) :D

We received a phone call last week from a fellow in Texas about the auditions for this upcoming TV show. Unfortunately, the producers desire amateur players, which eliminates my horse!

If I had to pick non-professional players, I'd vote for Ronnie Allen who year after year is omitted from the so-called professional list, or any list for that matter, on the BCA website. He also is not a member of the men's governing body of professional pool, the UPA. In the height of his pool-playing career, there weren't too many folks who would play him even. Ronnie Allen is a legendary one-pocket player and very deserving for consideration as a qualified candidate (IMO).

My next vote would go to Sparky Ferrule or Little John, two colorful characters. Both guys definitely have the gift of gab and can be quite entertaining, not to mention they play well enough to hold our interest.

I'd also like to throw in Rachel Abblink. I don't believe she is on the WPBA list of players, and if not, she'd be a natural (IMO). From some of the comments I hear on the rail, she's also pleasant to look at when she's doing her thing on a field of green! ;)

And then there's my homeboy Pookie. He's got the most unusual stroke, and when you see him play, the way he stands and holds his cue with the little pinky finger extended outward, it's quite different, but believe me, he can get the job done!

Amateurs? I wanna see the BEST gamble. I like a few amateurs, but eliminating pros is retarded. I mighta just wasted 15 minutes typing in another thread.
