Okay, now THIS has to be the funniest thing on the forum today Globalization is the Reason why no Americans are playing.
Perhaps the reason is that they just didn't want to travel that far that soon after a tournament. The UPA thing just finished on Sunday.

In the past years some of the top Americans were invited and Rodney made the finals two years ago. Still a powerful field and it will be interesting to see how Jasmin does against the guys!
Maybe it's because 4 Americans were invited to the world 8 ball and none turned up? 
It's more likely to be because it's based on the World 9 Ball Championships and no American made it into the last 16, or was it 32?
Still would have thought Johny and Rodney have done more than enough this year to earn an invite though.

I dunno? maybe it's because the U.S. isn't their goal market? I never get to see any of the matches on my satelite. To call it a "world" anything with only 32 players seems a little silly to me also. I guess on a positive note, if it gets pool out there it's a good thing.

I don't know when the Matchroom thing is going down but if it's right now it will be tough for Jasmin to do well since she's here in Taiwan for the Women's World Championships.
