Hey maybe we can bring some personality with the KBP Fury Amateur 9-Ball tour. All I need is a good honest tournament director to set up the area. If anyone in that area is interested please contact Kay at 877-328-7449 or email me at kbp_amateur9-ball@gate.net

Contact Bob Prater

That would be great to a tournament like that in Memphis. Someone should call Bob Prater the owner of Highpockets. He just did the super 9 ball and it was great. Matlock, Buddy Hall, etc. were there.

Elvis is there, isn't he?

I've heard that Elvis was recently seen in a pool room in Memphis.
His game was waaaaaaaay off though.

This is why we (my husband and I) SOOOOOOOOOOO want to open our own pool hall or sports bar. It will have lots of personality!!

Who Cares About Personality - Just Have Lots Of Suckers.

I've been in more poolrooms than most. The most successful poolrooms are the ones that have action. Action needs suckers to sustain the action. That's why I say - "One Or Two WHALES" Will build a great poolroom quicker than anything.
The best action poolroom I have ever seen was in Detroit back in the 70's - It was also one of the worst, dirtiest and terribly equipped poolrooms I have ever been in. THE OWNER "GIL" MADE A FORTUNE!

Hi,
I do not like to offer unsolicited advise on what brings the personality ,besides pretty girls, to a pool hall.I will be glad to give my view point if my opinion is sought.Good luck in your venture.

Try the Rec in Southaven or the Rack on Lamar. Highpockets is good too.

Hi,
In High pockets tables play good and they are flawless but no personality.Mr.Prater is a nice Southern Gentleman.Jennifer at the cash register is coooool.cheers

Its true action will always bring in customers, spectators, whales and suckers and that is what gives a pool hall personality.
In the 60s I used to play upstairs at JCs in Flushing N.Y.On the 2nd floor they had all new GCS and on the 3rd fl.the tables were like turn of the century.Really kewl.Once in a while Mosconi would come in a fool around with the young up and commers. Most of the people playing on the 2nd fl. didn't even know there was action going on right above them.
The good ole days.
