Non adhesive material that sticks to table cloth?

I wasn't offended, just not trying to sound like a know it all when I play at a C level, lol. The accu rack material idea is really a great idea, thank you - I'm going to follow up on it along with the other materials I'll be testing...

I have a set of Chris' first rack design that I have no need for since I got his new ones. Maybe later I'll go down to the table and sacrifice one and make a couple circles and see how they work.

spit or billiard chalk can be used ?but the preferred solution is that Avery reinforcements!
I never had a problem with the removal or residue but maybe I do not worry myself about these little things ?

Hi all, I wasn't sure what the right forum to ask this question was so I thought the main would be the best place...

I'm curious if anyone is aware of a material either plastic, cloth or otherwise that is very thin and stays in place on table cloth, but not with adhesive like the little paper donuts..

I was thinking that very thin film type material like telecine, with one side slightly 'scuffed' might do the trick but thought I'd ask about any other thoughts before I started experimenting..

Thanks for entertaining such an odd question -

Tap a ball and circle the spot with a piece of chalk that a has a deep bore in it (like most improperly used chalk)

Or low tack stickers. Not sure how well they work on cloth.

Master Spots

Why not just use a bigger sticker? Get a roll of Master spots (hole punch them if you want). I would just peel and unpeel them off of a piece of fabric a few times so that the adhesion isn't so strong...) Or you can leave half of the sticker backing attached so its easy to lift up.

Another great idea for me to test - thank you!

I stuck and unstuck a regular hole reinforcement, and after 2-3 times it peeled off the cloth really easily. After about 10 times it got harder to keep the edges down, but it would still stay in place on the table during a shot.

I also cut off one of the "legs" of the old style Accu-Rack and made a reinforcement-size ball marker. It moved slightly during some shots, but mostly stayed in place. Maybe I'll make a slightly larger (quarter-size) one out of the main body of the rack and try that to see if it stays in place better.

I just so happened to be working with a laser cutter today, I also had some 800 and 2000 grit sand paper. These are .75" circles... I plan to try them later grit side down for traction. I think the 2000 is probably the way to go. I don't really like the idea of sand paper on my table but it's so fine that i'm not too worried... we'll see

Picture isn't showing for me - let me know how it goes, my materials won't be here until next week to start testing.

This is one of the reasons I really love this place, despite the bickering, aiming systems and general shenanigans there is always someone willing to laser cut some sandpaper circles just to test my idea!

This sounds promising, thanks for checking it out. I've got some spots and some different mil acetate sheets coming on Monday that I'm going to try a few things with also...
