I had one more idea that I wanted to throw your way. Would the USBA be willing to support non-sanctioned tournaments with a free USBA membership, as a prize? I am still trying to come up with a way that we can get connected.....Currently, all the local tournaments around the country are not supported in any way by the USBA, we don't even get a nod on the USBA website. I don't think it would be asking too much to at least be able to advertise the non-sanctioned tournaments. Let me know what you think.

I agree Non-Sanctioned Tournament should be advertise on USBA Site.

Instead, what if we found a way for the non-sanctioned tournaments to become "endorsed" instead of sanctioned. The endorsement fee would be perhaps $2.00 per player per event. So if your event has 10 players, the USBA gets $20.00. Not alot of money, but nationwide, it could really help the organization.

The USBA would then advertise the events and post the results if it is provided. This could all be part of a "Room Membership" plan where the room collects the endorsement fees for the USBA. The room member would be listed in a special section of the USBA website under "Room Members". Within that section, all relevant room information would be available (address, phone, email, website, dates of tournaments, etc, etc). Also all tournament results would be posted. The room member would also receive a deep discount on Simonis cloth and Aramith balls, etc.

So this way, one hand washes the other.

This sounds pretty good. Let's see if any other tournament organizers like the idea. Anyone......?
