North American Open Tour - Owen vs Hohmann

The 2003 World Pool Champion Hohmann plays like a machine. Gabe Owens is full of talent, and he's been exploding as of late in any event he competes in.

Thorsten doesn't make too many mistakes. Gabe, though, is probably on top of his game currently, and I think the best is yet to come with Gabe. I'm going to bet on the side of experience. Not saying Gabe can't get there, but I'm leaning towards Thorsten.

JAM -

I like to go with Gabe because he was a local hero from when I lived in Wichita. And the man can play. Hohmann is a great player, but I think the 'intangibles' work in favor of Owen. I bet my whole 'stack' on him :)

Good Call JAM!

Sixpack, looks like you weren't the only one to lose a bundle on Gabe here.

Yeah, me an Cue Crazy had a hunch about the big fella ;)

As I bet it all I was thinking about a time when Davey Gomez was playing Danny Medina in Denver and he was getting no rolls AT ALL. He looked at the railbirds and said "Whenever this happens it's because some sorry SOB bet his last dollar on me, who did it?." It was Melvin Sharpe and everyone in the room knew immediately from his body language. Davey gave him a dollar so he wouldn't be broke anymore and his luck changed and he went on to beat Danny at 7 ahead.

From now on when I bet on players, I'm going to make sure I don't bet my last dollar because I don't want to put any bad mojo out there.

Of course that won't be an issue because I don't have anymore vCash :)

Cheers,
Regas

Yeh LOL, that hunch did'nt pay off for us this time huh. crying shame, but hard not to let It ride on a guy that has put vcash in your pocket before. jam hit that one on the money, that's for sure, that was one i was hoping was'nt so,i knew enough to be worried after she posted, as she sees how well the guys match up against each other on a regular basis, but was too late, already placed the bet. Good thing I hit the 2000 on the other bet or I would be out of V-backs myself. I don't know how I managed to hit that long shot, on the bank match back before. wish i would have bet more on that one, but That was a large field to pick from for the winner. 50/50 on this one, I had to slap some cash down on owens from previous experience, just did'nt pay off this time. It's all for fun anyway. Greg
