What is this game these guys are playing?
I think I got some of the rules, it's seems to be a combination of 3 ball and 3 cushion. From what I can tell you need to pocket a ball and then hit a second ball with the cue ball.
From the fact that they are usually writing something down on each shot even if the second ball is not hit, if you just sink a ball you get a point but for sinking and then hitting another one, two or something.
I actually use a similar thing when I practice, I either try to sink a ball and scratch or sink a ball and hit a second one with only two on the table. Or I try to send the object ball a few rails and send the cueball to a spot where it will get hit by the object ball.
