That pool tournaments should overlap?
The Galveston World Classic is on Sep 11-20
and we also have Predator International tour stop in Portugal on Sep 10-12
Are there so many big pro events throughout the year that they have to overlap? I think that this is hurting the players, the fans and the sport.
Players will be too tired to play their best game flying from one event to the other or missing events.
Pool promoters should really work together or at least check the tournament calendar....

You would think that is how it would work, as it sounds logical, but sometimes it's as if it is every pool entity for itself. This ain't the first time this has happened, and I am pretty sure it won't be the last.

One thing that is difficult for all promoters is locking up dates. This has to be done, in some venues, years in advance to reserve the space.

If a new kid on the block enters the scene, they may not be aware that Pool Promotion Company X had this time slot reserved 3 years ago.

The WPA and its blessed sanctioning is/was one vehicle that could alleviate these problems.

Today, the BCA organization (not the league) seems to be a ship lost at sea for aspiring pros, pros, and pro-caliber pool tournaments.

Pool tournaments are being outsourced more and more today, and this is great for our international brethren, but for American pro players, there's only two or three that I can think of who are sponsored that can afford it. Today, more and more, pro players are turning down opportunities to shoot pool overseas because of the expense.

The existing lot of professional players in these United States is dwindling. I would love to see a change agent effect something, anything, to stop this from happening.
