Nothing really fancy by todays standards

I only recently picked up my pool cue after a 35 year + hiatus. Real life kept me from the game and real life brought me back. The cue is about 40-45 years old and I only used it for about 5 years and just picked it back up this summer. When I had it made, I was playing 14:1 and one pocket in Illinois, now, in Nebraska I just joined an APA league and am playing 8 ball and nine ball.

Bought a table to practice on also because I really suck now. I was never great (survived by knowing who not to play :))but now I am starting over.

Anyway here are some pictures of the cue. I thought it was 21 oz, but I weighed it on an electronic Edlund scale and it weighs in at 19.5 oz. about 12.5mm tip. I can't recall the name of the cuemaker. The nameplate and dot inlays are pearl. I do not even recall whether it was made from a Hoppe butt or something else.

Well preserved.

I like the shaft taper too!

Did you buy that cue on Walbash Ave. in downtown Chicago under the L-Tracks?

When I lived there I bought it through a guy who ran a pool room on North Ave just off of Wells St. He wasn't the cue maker but he was my contact with the cue maker. That Old Town are has been through some changes in the ensuing years. I was there in 1964 and 1965.
