Nova Cue Questions

Hi everybody. If this is the wrong place for this kind of post I apologize but i really need to know a bit more about this cue... I know it's a Nova by NW, but i'm unsure of the model/value etc... it looks like it has some ivory in it along with some pretty nice inlays and points but I have nothing to base it's value on... i tbink I have the opportunity to get it at a good price along with a Viking Crush and Elite leather 3×5 case. It all looks like it has seen some play though.

Just hoping someone with a bit more knowledge on Nova can chime in and give me an idea. Thanks!

Played with Nova Merry Widow for years and tried a higher end 6pt one and after playing with Schon and Pechauers the Novas didn't compare IMHO. Still have the Merry Widow for sentimental reasons but moved the other on Ebay for less than what I thought it would go for considering all the ivory inlays. I would say try it before you buy it.

I personally have always loved the Nova cues. I sold several of them when they were being made. At the time I considered them one of the finest values in custom shop cues. $700 for the whole package would be a great deal as long as the cues and case are in excellent condition, and u like the hit of the Nova. Nova's are noted for a strong forward balance. I have a Nova among my playing cues that I have had for several years. It's NOT for sale.

Great playing cues, highly recommend. My first custom was a Nova. Had a buddy who is deceased now that used to say the Nova was the best playing cue he ever had.

Thanks for the replies guys! One more question, i'm going to see it Friday, is there anything specific I should look for on it when I see it? It's my first experience with a custom so i'm not sure if there's a different procedure when investigating. Also, it has the original shaft, i know that everything white on the cue is ivory, but is the ferrule of the shaft as well? I ask because I may get a differwnt shaft for it since I hear ivory deflects like crazy. Thanks again!
