Hi Ron,

Nice cue! I'm a big fan of Nova Cues. A couple of things you might have your friend edit in order to sell the cue, would be that Nubs had a small shop that might have turned out 700-750 cues a year at his peak (when Steve Miller was working for him), not 4500. Also, he uses a 5/16-14 pin, not a "twelve thread". Just the embellishment you were talking about, I guess :D ... Good luck on your auction, I'll sure be keeping an eye on it.

it's hard to tell from the pictures (for me anyway), but is there a thin veneer around the points? it looks a thin black veneer but i'm not sure.

Ya Im a big Nova fan also. This is the second one that I have owned. Traded my first one for an slt-15 schon and the Nova ended getting stolen from the guy when he fell a sleep during an after hours session and it was a much nicer cue that this one. Just curious since you are a fan I put a $400 reserve (I wouldn't be too upset if it didnt sell) due you think that is too much

yes there is a thin black veneer i would assume it is ebony but you know what they say when u assume...Ron

Ron,

I don't think the reserve is out of line at all. Cue sales are a little slow for the summer, but it's a decent reserve (especially if you don't mind keeping it!).
