When I set down for a shot, I can line try to shoot the object ball straight, I always hit off to the left on the object ball, just a hair, When I try to adjust my self on the next shot, it just doesnt feel right. I am right eye dominate. My stroke needs CPR or something. I will have a mediumish bridge length from on the rail, line my tip up with low on the cue ball, and when I stroke I almost always miss cue, I chalk my tip very well and it still happens. I can aim dead center cue ball, with same bridge lenth and get draw. I can play a very short bridge, but I feel I get less cue ball action. Just doesnt seem like I am hitting the cue ball exactly where I want to.

Sounds like to me that your head (EYE) alignement is not square, when your stroking the shot have your head and (EYE) squarely above your stick, and adjust your body accordingly, right foot back, arm perpendicular over the shot,.....keep stroking this shot until you feel comfortable with it......(right/left handed)....

if your mis-cueing...your hitting the cue ball one tip too low.........

hope this helps..

I myself keep my(dominant) eye directly over the cue....

I'm dominant eye left.....yikes!

Truth be told, you will not find the answer here. You need a teacher to break down your mechanics and stroke. Alignment is just as important as all the other facets of preparing yourself to shoot. Tall buildings don't stand very long w/o a solid and level base frame. That's just one analogy.

I agree, there are too many possibilities to be able to evaluate in this forum. Find a qualified instructor who knows how to work on fundamentals, and have him/her help you.

They can set you up with Mark Wilson.
He's superb on fundamentals. First lesson is about 4-5 hours.

The invite still stands from my PM to you Prodigy. Come on up and we'll see if we can get you aligned properly and get that ferrule fixed.

It sounds like you need to see an instructor. In the mean time, you might look at some of the stroke "best practices" resources here:
Also, here are some resources and drills with helping you find the center of the CB:
