i am in the market to a new LD shaft and i wanted to ask what my fellow azers thought of either shaft thanks in advance!!!

Both shafts are good....
I vote OB simply because the way they do business is top notch in my book, excellent group of people that work their butts off and give good service (nothing against the 314 peeps)
Hit and research both, make an informed choice....

I currently play with predator... but I'll be moving towards OB for the reasons Big Perm states
I just got an OB-1 shaft and December and i love it. I am 100% satisfied, and would highly recommend it.
I own both and I peronsally like the OB1 more. It has a softer hit and transfers more spin to the cueball than any other shaft I have used. Somebody said on this forum said that it is like flooring the gas on a classic american car.
With that said if it has a down side it is controlling the spin you put on the ball. It seems easiers to over spin it with this shaft.

I USE A 314-2 WITH A TRIANGLE tip and wouldnt trade it for anything
I second (or third) that OB is a great company to deal with. Made in the US and a very nice shaft.
I recently bought a complete cue with OB-1 and really like it. It is easy to over spin but that's a problem I actually like. Made my game much more consistent. Softer hit but to me, much better feedback when I do something stupid.
FYI, I have a Kamui Black Soft on my maple shaft Helmstetter and have a Kamui Black Medium on the OB-1. I really like it.
