I have had two OB shafts that have had separation between the laminated segments...both cases the "split" was about the width of a playing card.

After the 2nd one I became a little leary of OB shafts...this appears to be a trend with OB's.

That being said, in order to be "fair", they still played decent, but the "spearation" always seemed to be in my line of sight while shooting, so it really irritated me while shooting...regardless of whether or not the shaft still performed...
