With price not an option and the same tip put on, which one do you like better and how do they compare. If you've only played with one tell me what you think of it. Looking for more feedback as I've heard less about the tiger. Thanks
 
Both are great quality shafts!

The Tiger-X feels stiffer with a different *hit*-but this is always just subjective. It s just about your personal preference-nothing else.

I've tried both shafts for a fair amount of time. They're both good shafts but they have different feels. The dimensions and tapers of both shafts are similar.

Here are my impressions:

The OB Classic is a heavier, firmer shaft. It weighs in around 3.9 - 4 ounces. There is a definite meaty feeling to the shaft. It plays much like a low squirt conventional shaft, firm, not much flex to it, plenty stiff. The laminations are quite visible. It is not a lively shaft, but it is highly predictable. There is no feeling of light weight toward the tip side.

The Tiger Ultra LD is lighter - weighing in at 3.6 - 3.7 ounces. It has almost no visible laminations and is definitely high grade maple. It has a more lively feeling and slightly more flex than the OB Classic. It is also reasonably low squirt, but has a lighter feeling towarde the tip side, kind of like a Predator 314, but more solid.

If someone plays with a power game, they will probably favor the Classic. If they play with more spin and finesse, they will probably favor the Tiger.

I'm playing with the Tiger Pro X now, with the 11.75 mm tip - I'm really glad I made the switch to this sort of shaft, but it was not easy - it took several months to fully adapt. Seems like I can do a lot more with the smaller tip.
