Ob Classic re-taper

Yes, you can take the taper back a little further.
Early on, we had quite a few people tell us they were a little too flexible, so we strengthened up the taper a little. We also stiffened it up in other ways too, but they aren't visible. The new Classic line is even more stiff than the OB line is.
The only thing to keep in mind is that we don't like to see any area on the cue shaft that would be smaller than .5mm under the original tip size. So the OB-1 and the Classic can go down to 12.25mm, and the Classic Pro and the OB-2 can go down to 11.25mm. I have seen some smaller than that without problems, but that's as small as we will cover them under warranty.
Call us if you have any questions about this. We are the manufacturer so we don't have them built and brought in to us. We can change or modify quite a few things to your liking. There are limits, but as long as it's not outside our normal processes it's not a problem.
