I have read nice comments about this company in the past but until a week ago I never had a personal experience to relate.
Two years ago during the BCAPL Tournaments in Las Vegas I purchased an OB Shaft for my Bear Cue. On my return to Spain where I live, I played with the new shaft for about 10 months and suddenly some of the laminations started to open up along the glue line.
I contacted OB at the time and they said I should send it back but when I investigated the cost, it was far too expensive.
Last month I was in the US for a couple of weeks and I brought the faulty shaft with me and sent it off to OB Cues. I asked them to repair it and also to change the thread as I had sol the old cue and now have another which has a different joint. I also asked them for an estimate.
A few days later I received a call from DOC who told me that they were going to replace the shaft with a new one and with the threaded joint as I had requested.
This was all free of charge.
I have to say that this couldnt have happened in Europe. I had no receipt for the shaft and I couldnt even remember from whom I had purchased it.
I was amazed at the service I received from this company and it is so refreshing to see a manufacturer standing by its products.
Congratulations OB Cues and thank you very much.
