ob rift; speed vs control

I've been trying to find anything on the difference between the new ob rift break shafts. Ob offers two shafts for their new break line, the speed shaft and the control shaft.

Might anyone have any insight into the difference between the two?

Diff tips I know. I tried bith in vegas. I much preferred the control. Hit more like my gen 1 break cue.

I'm more curious about the shaft construction.. is one a solid shaft or are they both the "ob spiral" design?

I guess I am not sure what you mean by spiral design. This is off their site:

Speed Break shaft is 13.25mm with a white linen melamine ferrule and a very hard phenolic tip
Control Break shaft is 13mm with our laminated maple ferrule and a hard Samsara leather tip

I am thinking that this means for the most part the shafts are the same. The only difference being some front end construction. I have an older OB Break shaft on one of my cues. It is made in a similar fashion to what the regular shafts are made meaning it is laminated, but it does hit a ton with great control.

I got the speed break cue today
I like it a lot
