A guy asked me today, what would be a a good tip to put on the OB1 that compliments the shafts performance.Since I haven't played with one for along time and know those shafts play different,is there a certain tip that compliments it or makes it feel less spongy? Thanks

I like the Everest tip but it feels spongy for the first 2 or 3 weeks. Once it breaks in it feels much better. If you do some searching, you will find other posters that say the same thing. So if you have a new shaft, give its some time and it will feel less and less spongy.

scsuxci,

My OB1 came with an Everest tip and I would never change it! IMO it is the perfect compliment to the OB1. I use Black Kamuis on my Maple shafts, and have considered putting an Onyx on my OB1. However, everytime I decide to bite the bullet to put on the Onyx, little voice asks "why?" It plays perfect with the Everest =)

Your mileage may vary.

When my everest tip was worn down on my OB 1- shaft, I installed an Onyx tip. I am very satisfied with the Onyx tip, and it needs very little maintenance.

the ob-1 is softer, quieter hitting shaft.....the opposite of what I prefer. i put on a kamui black medium and it makes the shaft hit harder with more feedback.

I had one of those Adam franks milk duds on mine and it was awesome. The kbss and everest were too soft IMO. I think a triangle would be good too!
