I bought an OB1 from the manager of a local pool room here in town to fit a Schon I was playing with about 2 years ago. The shaft had been test hit and was as straight as an arrow. I traded the Schon to Mike at OMEGA about a 2months later but I kept the OB1 shaft and put it safely in an old Porper case with a cpl of old cues and forgot it.
I recently had a guy ask if I knew anyone who had an OB1 for sale that fit a 5/16 14 and a light went off in my head. I loaded the shaft up and took it to the pool hall the next day to let him hit it. He's gone 15 minutes and then comes back and says I like the hit but the shaft is warped.
So here are the questions. 1)Are OB1s prone to warpage? 2)Are OB1s warrantied against warping? 3)Can a you bend the OB1 to cause a perceived warp and then bend it back? (yes I know I need to cut my dose in half) 4)What would you do with a warped OB1 and what would be it's value?
