OB121 VS Predator Roadline

Hello, I am looking for a production cue and I am torn between the OB 121 Sneaky and the Predator Road line. I currently play with a predator shaft on my custom cue but I have also played with a OB shaft as well and like them both. Wanted to hear more experience with them before deciding.

There are way too many threads like this. You aren't going to get any useful information on this topic.

They are both good low deflection cues. All that really matters is how each shaft feels to YOU.

It's an individual thing. Get whichever cue that has the shaft you think hits the best, for you.

i played a roadline sneaky wrapless for about a year, and currently shoot with a 121 OB. i personally like the OB a lot more. i feel like the hit is more pure than with that predator. again...just personal opinion, but that's my feelings. plus the made in the USA thing is nice.

great point there!

I've got an OB121 w/ OB2+ shaft and like it a lot. I played with a friend's Predator (not sure which model but it was wrapless); it felt kind of dead, not much feedback.

Spl I think is the model. Not looked at mezz not hit one so not sure. Have hit a cuetec but was 10 or do years ago.

I like the Roadline looks better than most Predators, but the shafts, I pick OB every time. Only Predator shaft I liked was a Z2 with that small tip and euro taper.

Add in the fact that OB is really two guys in Texas that also post on here, and they did a very fair trade with me for two shafts for my son which he loves, my pick would be OB.

That new OB+ looks nice also, does not have that darker look that some laminated shafts have.

And the new ob+ hits absolutely amazing. I've got the ob1+ and love it.

I don't care if it's made on Mars as long as it plays good.

LOL seriously, I respect OB but I don't like when people use that statement as to why you should buy something, we're not doing America any favor by buying our little $300 cue.

I got the OB121 with the classic+ shaft. Loved the shaft, there will never be one better for me personally. But the cue was so butt heavy and unbalanced I am selling it. :frown: They put steal all the way down the butt of the cue for weight cartridge threading, which wasn't even stainless. I am sure they were concerned with vibration dampening, but I'd rather my cue vibrate for years than have a heavy unbalanced cue. And I could be wrong but I am not sure if the pin is stainless steal, it might be aluminum which just contributes to the problem. The look of the 121 is way better than the predator sneaky. The balance and weight of my 18oz predator was perfect. and the handle was slimmer and untapered which was perfect for my unconventional grip. Basically, if I could get the predator handle with the OB 121 design and the OB classic + shaft I would be in business. Hope that helps.
