If one of your good customers is having you build his keeper daily playing cue that will be used a great deal daily for many years how many shafts do you recommend assuming they want tradtional maple match weighed shafts and properly care for them(no abrasives, dont leave in car, etc.)? Will 2 last a normal lifetime or should a person 3 or 4?Thanks,M.S.

I would think that 2 is plenty. If extras were needed later down the road, they could be made..

Oddly enough I would recomend 2 & tell him to PLAY with both. They seem to stay straighter, if you play with them. This is just my experiece, but I've seem lots of people buy cues with 2 shafts & only use one. Then when they go to sell the Q, the unused shaft is crooked...JER

Even one will/should last a lifetime...if they're taken care of...

I just built Keith McCready a playing cue and a break cue per his specifications. He plays hard and long. I built a total of 4 shafts for him for the two cues. Pic of the playing cue is on my website. However, the other cue that I just posted on the website JM1025 was custom built with 4 shafts. So it can vary depending on what the customer wants.
