I did a search for "straight pool rules" and this came up:

http://www.bca-pool.com/play/tournaments/rules/rls_141.shtml
Unfortunately, those rules are out of date. There is a new set of rules with minor revisions available on the BCA web site if you start at the main page and follow the Play/Rules links. The complete rules of pool are available from the WPA web site as: http://www.wpa-pool.com/download/WPA_Rules.pdf

You need the complete rules since fouls and definitions are in separate sections.

The main change I can think of from the 2006 rules which are linked above is that there is no longer a "nurse safety" rule for safeties on a ball close to a cushion.

Well, that's not good that a link to the rules on the Billiard Congress of America website is out of date. Why is that link still active?

Also, thanks for the link you posted but I'm not sure it's complete because I couldn't find the supplemental rules. What with the tight quarters, these come in into play in straight pool as I recently needed to refer to supplemental rule 1.16.1 to prove to my opponent the rule and procedure involving disturbed balls.

So Bob, are the supplemental rules in the World Standardized Rules also out of date? Could you post a link of the "complete-complete" current rules?

Thanks, Bro.

I got the impression from another thread that BCA doesn't automatically adopt the new and updated WPA rules.
