Here we go again!....We may luck out up here near Daytona, not sure yet. Any of you have a nice spare bedroom with a wedged up Gold Crown in it by chance?:)

And, all the Bikers are in town this week for Biketoberfest, I have never seen so many Fat, old, dewrag wearing, wannabe hardass, posers in all my days! I know it sounds harsh and they come here spending money, but they roll in, act rude to people, make noise, drive like idiots, and jam up traffic for days..

I'm stayin home til they all leave, ok, maybe I'll go to the wet t-shirt contest saturday night, but thats it!!:)

Gerry, I feel for you people who have to live through hurricanes. I survived force 4 Iniki in '92. I learned a couple of things about the aftermath of hurricanes. Ice is like gold. Gold isn't worth sh*t. Salvation army good. Fema bad. An ice cold beer can get your roof fixed quicker than your neighbors warm beer. Coors light is non pastuerized and shipped cold. Altamont bad. Wet tshirt good. Stay safe!

you know,,,,,,,,,,,,,florida might be sun and fun and beaches all,,,but you get that in southern california too. minus the hunidity, MINUS THE HURRICANES,,,,earthquakes aside.

Have you ever seen the beaches in Florida, especially the Gulf Coast? You will not find more beautiful beaches in the USA. ;)

I think the analogy that you offer is a no-brainer! You have plenty of time to evacuate in the case of a hurricane. How much notice do you have in an earthquake before the ground beneath your feet cracks and buildings collapse on top of people? Don't get me wrong I have no problem with California, but if I was basing a relocation to Caly or Florida based on natural disasters, I would choose Florida everytime. Just my 2cents.

Ive also cancelled my weekend plans because of Wilma. They say it may hit or it may not, and we all remember what happened the last time they said that. Im not taking any chances at all.

To get back on the topic of pool........................
As far as humidity, Texas(Houston) would give Florida the 7 and the snap ;)

But you guys get these friggin hurricanes every year! This will be the FOURTH to hit this year, right? Our last bad earthquake was 13 years ago.
I would (and did) choose CA everytime!

But if I didn't live in the land of (almost) free pot, bigfaketitties, jacuzzi parties, Hardtimes, loads of exotic women, then I would chose FL next... :D

Boarding up my house tomorrow night. Nice thing is I am on a power grid with an assisted living facility. Only lost power 9 hours last hurricane, and then the power came back on and we were back in business. As long as I got daylight I always got my table to play on.

Shorty

Since you put it that way I will think differently next relocation. I LOVE free stuff, even almost free! ;) :D :p

Yeah, it's awesome out thata way. And to think, you only have to share it with 10 million other folks, half of which barely speak english...

I'm with Barbara on this one. Cozumel is beautiful and I hoep that you make it there.

I am concerned for my friends in the Fla area especially, Daytona Joe, JJINFLA, stray, blackjack, shorty all my friends at Orlando APA and my extended family.

This has been a heck of a bad year, and my prayers go out to all in the pathway. Hang in there all, be well and safe, and by all means get the hell out of Dodge!

I hope Florida is spared. Maybe Wilma will weaken to a Cat-2 before landfall. I have a trip to Fort Lauderdale in 2 weeks. Hopefully there won't be any other storms brewing. Speaking of Fort Lauderdale, what is the best poolroom there? I may try and sneak away from my convention a couple evenings! :D

Yeah well.......Phoenix has all the sun and fun, zero humidity, zero hurricanes, no earthquakes, zero rust on anything metal, and no fricken 2hr drive to go 5 miles during rush hour .........and someday when California falls into the ocean, we will have the beaches too....(actually we already have the beach part)..... ;) :D ... Oh...I almost forgot...1/2 the cost of living of CA... :D

So stick that in your girlfriends silicone breasts and suck on them!!!!....(JK) :D

Well, I have a sister in Dana Point Ca. she loves it there. Even though the price of housing is astronomical, but if you live in paradise, you gotta pay in some way!

Distinctions from when I moved from a Philly suburb to FLA.

But, on a good note
