Ok, here is my new Jim Buss

I think an ivory joint would have set it off but an awesome looking cue none the less. I love your wood choices. You are right, Jim's cues play great! He sells a lot of cue for the money. I had one and sold it to a friend on my team and he is loving it now! Just curious, what was the waiting period from start to finish?

Oooh, I've never had a cue with an ivory joint, but I think you are correct - it would make it even better. Wow.

The waiting period is around 4 months or so. Mine took a little longer - I am a tough customer. ;)

I hope you'll post a few pictures that you took of your cue :-) I'm very curious and would loooove to see some close-up pictures of it! (especially the forearm!:) )

Melinda, you are right. Jim`s cues hit a ton, as good or better than they look! Nice cue!!
Will

Thanks, Will. :)

I kept my original Jim Buss and now use it as a break cue. I just cannot part with it! Everyone always makes comments about it... the BEM is amazing!... and it hits SO good! But I wanted my next Jim Buss (this one) to have points. :)

If I can find a photo of my first custom Jim Buss, I'll post it here.

If I can open the box... I'm gonna be so nervous to see it in person!

wow, 4 months is nothing compared to most custom cue makers. When people ask me what an ivory joint hits like, I tell them it is the happy medium between stainless steel and phenolic. That is the best way I can describe it to someone! Again, congrats on a beautiful design!

I just found some photos of my first Jim Buss that I now use as a break cue. My first custom designed cue (Dec 1996), now out of 4. :)

Thank you. :)

I may have to borrow an ivory joint cue from someone at the pool room and try one out soon.
