Ok,lets be honest here......

43

My high run is 43. When I first reported it here in a thread somewhere, I think I said 44 -- but I mis-calculated (that shows you how little I play 14.1).

I got that run last year, and that was the first year that I had ever tried 14.1.

Since then, I've only practiced 14.1 a handful of times -- and I only got into the second rack on those tries since the 43. After the 43, I thought for sure that I would break 50 in no time -- but since 8-ball leagues started up -- I have mainly been practicing 8-ball (even though 14.1 would be great practice for 8-ball anyway).

Although I think that I may have stopped practicing 14.1 because of the fact that I hate cleaning my table -- so with the chalk build-up -- the table plays VERY tough right now for 14.1.

14.1 run

I'm too embarrassed to put this in the 14.1 forum! I love straight but I've only got to 26 or 28. The only thing that helps me to accept my low count is, I play on a very tight Diamond Pro 9'. Thanks for reading my pathetic results. Regards, Kennyratt

Highest run 100.

I know it sounds fake to run 100 on the nose but I chickened out. When I got to 88 with an open rack every one in the room stopped playing because my opponent told everyone in the room I was going to run 100. I got fairly straight in with 3 balls on the table the other two were a perfect key ball/break ball. I could have force followed my 100th ball. I chickened out and just rolled the ball in and settled for a bank on the key ball. I don't think I could have lived with myself running 99. My highest run prior was 54 and I ran 100 on a tight gold crown. Maybe if I fired it in I could have run 200.
I appreciate your honesty. I would have done the same thing, probably.

I'm 14 too, and the image of the break ball rattling out of the corner pocket is forever burned in my mind.

Ive run over 200 on a 8' I did that last year, this year Ive only tried a couple times, my first try was 46.... on the second try a day later I ran 138, My cloth is getting shotty and Im in the process of putting new cloth and rails on my table, whitch is a 8' with 4" pockets.. On a 9' gold Crown, with 4.5" pockets, I play much better, but I dont like the big pockets, Im trying to get a Gold Crown 9' now, and when I do, once I have the pockets sized the way I want them, I'll post my high run on a 9'..

Mine is 168 in a match going to 175 and for the cash. Played safe to end the run. $300 back in the sixties was a fair amout of cash. Never could go past 130 since.

My high run is 14 (on my home table). I missed the break ball :) Since my high run I have been able to consitently run 6-8 balls (just like 9 ball :D). I played BigCat in a race to 100 one day (at Kolby's) and I made it to 35. I will be playing him again on Thursday and I am hoping to reach 50 total.

zero...never played it. Only one in-house league around here that I know of, and it's on the same night as my 8 ball league. Would love to give it a try with some knowledgeable opponents....

46 but it has been YEARS since I've played 14.1 except occasionally and I am a good two balls better now than then. (9 Ball)

Well my high run used to be alot more than my age.....Now my age is alot more than my high run... i ran 39 in a local tournment at 19... i ran 51 just playing a race to 150 with friends at age 25. I'm now 60 and can just barely make 10.

You're a GREAT player ... compared to me :D

When I say 3 or 4, I assume that everyone knows that I am just abbreviating for 300 to 400 !!!!! :)

Seriously though, I rarely play straight pool, but have run about 25 or 30 once.

You may want to look into the straight pool forum. There is a list of high runs for each year. But 102 to answer your question.

136, 85 and out in Alaska State Tourney.

I've had high runs of 63, 65 and 64 all in the last 2 years. I've had tons of runs in the 40's (all at home practicing). What's weird that with those 3 runs in the 60's I don't think I've ever had a run in the 50's. I think my last runs in the 60's ended because I started getting nervous and counting balls, hoping to best my high run and then I'd mess it up.
