Randy Newman wrote the song "Short People" in the 70s, during times of racial tension. It was a satire, and the lyrics (including the refrain "short people got no reason to live") were basically paraphrasing the segregationist ideals of the racists of the time, but they were about short people rather than a race. His point was that height is an equally valid criterion for discrimination as race, which is to say, not valid at all.

I paraphrased because while you guys were having your lefty love-fest, I thought it would be funny to throw in some spoof anti-lefty racism.
