Okay, here's a challenge for anyone!

Rude Dog

<---Dumb and Dumber
I'll play ANYONE, a 10 ahead set of 9 ball or 10 ball, and a 10 game total pins in bowling. PM me if you're interested, 5k is all I can bet though. I'm not saying that's the only amount I will bet, that's just the highest I can bet. BTW, in case I wasn't clear on the first part, this has to be the same person playing the pool and bowling. I know there's plenty of people out there that can beat me, but I'd still like to try it. I'm ready for action, as you can tell, so until someone comes here to shut me up about it, I'm putting my challenges up here for all to see. Peace, John.

almost totally off topic but this post reminded me of something amusing.
a friend of mine bowled a 299 in tournament when he was 14 and it frustrated him so much - it was his last game.

This might not be too bad. Originally I thought that it was too far to go. I kinda figured that it was about 1,850 miles and around 28 1/2 hours to get there. Hell...it's only 1,846 miles and 28 hours and 23 minutes!!! Less than I thought!!! Book a room for me at the Ritz Carlton in Kingman, I'll leave tomorrow. :D

Ritz Carlton? Are you kiddin' me? We got Ritz Crackers at Motel 6 and they'll leave the light on for ya! :D Or, you can stay at my place for $500 a night with no heater, the way you like it.

WHAT??!! I ONLY stay at the Ritz. The next thing you're going to tell me is that you don't have a Nieman Marcus where I can buy some threads or even a Ruth Chris's Steak House to eat. (what kind of hell hole is this place)
(suddenly rethinking this trip) :(

I heard that his average was 153, which is why I was going to jump on it, plus he doesn't even have a pool room in town where he can practice so you KNOW he can't play a lick. But I don't think I can take those uncivilized and undeveloped surroundings with rattlesnakes and scorpions.

Kinda, Sorta, The Same Kind Of Challenge.

I would like to offer a similar challenge. It would involve One Pocket & Gin Rummy. The Gin Rummy would & should be played on gamecoloney.com & the One Pocket, anywhere agreed on.
I think I will get some takers on this as I KNOW quite a lot of Pool Players like to play Gin.
As with everything in life, every aspect of this challenge is negotiable.

uh oh, jam, where's keith. i know he's been known to play some gin every once in a while :D

I challenge anyone to a combination of a bi athalon- cross country skiing and target shooting, and a tri athalon- swimming, biking, then running a marathon. if we happen to split those two events, then the tie breaker would be an iditarod dog sled race across the frozen tundra, all events to be held the same day. winner take all for a twelve pack.

Ready, set, gooooooooooo! I'll have the 12 pack ready for ya when you get back. :D

I don't bowl or play gin. Damned!! And, like Drivermaker, one cannot be expected to lower their accommodations to anything less than the Ritz Carlton!! Rude Dog, $500 a night huh? Does that include a shower?

This all sounds like a good reality show to me! Only I hate the parts where they eat worms and such, if I even watch that I get sick.

The list. We (I think in general) are indoor sports men and women. So I'll eliminate Micktmason's tri-athalon. Maybe not just inside sports, but definitely NO RUNNING!!!! or lifting anything heavier than a bowling ball.

Pool - 8-ball (most common game played)
Bowling
Gin Rummy (I prefer Bridge personally)
Table Tennis (ping pong)
Darts (301 most common game played)
Golf (yes, its outside but there is no running so its OK)

That should do but doesn't anyone have any additions? Remember NO RUNNING or heavy lifting. (before someone says it I'll also say 'no fast walking race either'. And definately no eating weard stuff

I'm in.

My challenge is an ahead set of 9 ball (non-Texas-Express rules) followed by a spelling bee! Or is that "be"? Bei? Oh the hell with it. Forget I said anything. Anyone play Go Fish?
