Okay, here's a challenge for anyone!

I'll accept your offer, but you'd have to accept mine. Speed skydiving contest, whoever has the fastest fall rate wins the entire pot.

Deal?

and the "I support single moms" is a stab at strippers, saying that they are all single moms. He frequents gentlemen's clubs...... although I have as well. :D

This all sounds like a good reality show to me! Only I hate the parts where they eat worms and such, if I even watch that I get sick.

The list. We (I think in general) are indoor sports men and women. So I'll eliminate Micktmason's tri-athalon. Maybe not just inside sports, but definitely NO RUNNING!!!! or lifting anything heavier than a bowling ball.

Pool - 8-ball (most common game played)
Bowling
Gin Rummy (I prefer Bridge personally)
Table Tennis (ping pong)
Darts (301 most common game played)
Golf (yes, its outside but there is no running so its OK)

That should do but doesn't anyone have any additions? Remember NO RUNNING or heavy lifting. (before someone says it I'll also say 'no fast walking race either'. And definately no eating weard stuff

I'm in.

No comers on my 'Ultimate Gamer Challenge'? We need one more event. With six events there could be a tie. Need the seventh.

Sorry about the 'no running or heavy lifting' rules, but I want to be in this and this old man can't handle either of those.

I hate 8 ball
I bowl a 110
I suck at ging
Ping Pong.... haha! I'd get whipped
Darts - I'd do well
Golf?? My handicap is like 30!!

well that makes you a perfect mark.....er......player. when would you like to do this? :D

Capt,

I would seriously consider taking that bet using the 6 things you mention. The only one I would really have to work on would be the Gin Rummy. You might have me, but I bet you would have to work at it. Since I wont be able to post 1000.00 or so, and highly unlikely that this would happen, here is my abilities:

8ball: Anyone can win
Gin Rummy: Told ya I would have to work at this
Bowling: 195 avg, but I bowl better head to head
Darts 301: Highly competitive, although unlikely to make it to the ESPN finals
Golf: 4 handicap while drinking, better when focusing.
Table Tennis: Only lost a handfull of games before to a young kid at the USO.

Would be a fun event. Around here we have had Triathalon tourneys before, usually a tournament consisting of Bowling/Golf/Pool, or Bowling/Darts/Pool. I have had success in everyone I have played in.

It sure would be fun wouldn't it. I agree that it is unlikely to take place and I couldn't come up with enough $ to put up to make it all worth while either. I think your being very honest with your abilities and so will I. I'm pretty sure you would take me. You never know though, I could get lucky.

8 ball - I'm going to give myself an edge. Unless your a pro, 8 ball is my specialty (either size table)
Gin Rummy - I've played a lot of Gin and I'm generally a very good at card games. But that doesn't matter. In any one days play, in cards, it comes down to who gets them. So this would be left to fate.
Bowling - You got me. Been a while since I've bowled much. I've never had much trouble bowling 160-190, but very rarely over 190.
Darts - Sounds like you take me again. I can throw a dart, but two someone who says they won't quite make it to the ESPN finals, I probably wouldn't be much of a challenge.
Golf - Looks like you take me again. Handicap revolved around 6, but been a couple of years since I've played. I mean at all. Doctors orders. But for this I'll lie to the Doctor. I'm thinking with a trip of two to the driving range, I'd be braking 80. But that is not going to beat you.
Table Tennis - what you've indicated there hasn't really told me much, would depend on how good the kid was. So I'll tell you this and then you tell me who you think would win this one. If you've ever watched table tennis on ESPN, I can't beat those guys. But if I played them, there would be some good volleys and they wouldn't get bored with me.

Sounds to me like I'd have to get all the cards in Gin to even stand a chance.

Hell no I'm not taking Rude Dogs challenge. I know he can beat me in Pool and I'm betting he can beat me in bowling. We would have to add a couple of other events that I would be the favorite in. Like golf and Table tennis. Then have some kind of tie breaker. Like best womanizer or something. I'd cheat though, I'd make sure it was a place with a piano and a dance floor. :D

The darts I saw was awhile back, and thinking about it, might have been on Fox Sports Net. Anyways, the two guys hit EVERYTHING they chucked at damn near every time, probably better groupings than I used to hit with my M-16A2. :)

Sounds too me like you are real good at Table Tennis, I like to think I am too. But those guys on tv play from like 8 - 10 feet behind the table, where as I can get in the speed volleys like that from 4-5 feet back or so. So you probably got the edge. For me, I have TONS of fun playing another person that can play table tennis. For that game to be interesting, both parties need to be able to play well. Where as pool, I can stay interested either way.

Anyone have the 7th event yet? LOL

I'm in.

I particpated in a Bar Olympics that had different events including drinking.
This is what we did
Shot setup shots on a pool table
played a bowling video game for high score
darts 301 (rounds to clear)
darts ( first to hit 6 randomly drawn triples)
shuffleboard
trivia (mixed questions about drinks and sports)
Quarters ( the drinking game- se had to ring different glasses, mugs
and pitchers --low amount of shots taken winner)

Mixed in these were drinks and a bonus round of name that tune (sort of)

Everyone competed at first against the games then it was narrowed to a final
three and they went back and went through them again for the champion.
The second time through the scores were worse or slurred maybe the better term because of the drinking and fun.
It was alot of fun. A few beer and liquor companies sent their very good looking representatives and gave out some prizes and free merchandise.
We were going to make it an annual event but the owner sold the bar and the new owners are turning it into a piano lounge.
I thought it could have been a real successful venture for the bar. The first one was us regulars idea one night while drinking and then a beer rep found out and so on. The distributors all came to it and thought it went great and
were fired up about the next one. many wanted to sponsor the whole thing
or parts of it. A DJ that was there wanted in running the trivia, music and being the MC. He was going to do it for a bar tab and for exposure.

Now that it has been brought out of my memory I might remind the guys and
try to revive it somewhere.

Why go through all of this bickering back and forth for one game or another to see who the top dog is. Let's get to the bottom line of what this is all about..."who is the stud of studs". It ALWAYS comes down to a crank measuring contest which is TRULY behind all of it. So...tape measures
READYYYYYY.........GO!!!...........(now the lies REALLY start)
